Does This Sound Like You or Your Teen?
You might feel like you're trying everything, but nothing seems to help. You may be considering an assessment if you or your teen experience:
Difficulty Focusing: A persistent struggle with attention, organization, and follow-through that impacts school, work, or daily life.
When the past feels too present: Feeling on edge, haunted by past events, or avoiding situations that remind you of a difficult experience.
Intense Emotional Shifts: Overwhelming waves of sadness, irritability, or anxiety that you can't seem to control.
Chronic Emptiness or Relationship Struggles: A long-standing pattern of unstable relationships, a shifting sense of self, or deep-seated fears of abandonment.
A Feeling that Something is "Off": You know something isn't right, but you can't pinpoint the cause, and previous treatments haven't provided relief.
If these challenges resonate, a comprehensive assessment can be the key to unlocking the right support and strategies.
Specialized Evaluations for Clearer Insights
My assessment services are designed to provide a thorough and accurate picture of your unique strengths and challenges. I offer evaluations for teens (ages 16+) and adults in the following areas:
ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder): We'll look beyond simple distraction to understand the nuances of executive functioning, attention regulation, and hyperactivity or inattentiveness as they appear in both teens and adults.
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder): This evaluation focuses on understanding the impact of traumatic events, assessing for symptoms like flashbacks, avoidance, and hypervigilance to guide trauma-focused care.
Mood Disorders: A comprehensive look at conditions like major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and bipolar disorders to differentiate between them and inform effective treatment.
Personality Disorders: For those experiencing long-term, pervasive difficulties in their sense of self and relationships, we can explore conditions such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) to create a path toward stability and healthier connections.
Your Path to Understanding: The Assessment Process
I believe the assessment process itself should be a supportive and transparent experience. Here’s what you can expect when you work with me:
Step 1: Initial Consultation (20 Minutes): We’ll start with a free virtual or in person consultation to briefly discuss your concerns and determine if a comprehensive assessment is the right next step for you or your teen.
Step 2: Clinical Interview & History Gathering (one 50 minutes session): This is where I get to know your story. We’ll have a comprehensive discussion about your history, current struggles, symptoms, and strengths. For teens, this will involve meeting with both the parent(s) and the teen.
Step 3: Standardized Testing & Questionnaires: You will complete a set of evidence-based psychological tests and questionnaires tailored to your specific concerns. This will be done from the comfort of your home. No messy paper to print or keep track of!
Step 5: Feedback Session (one 50 minutes session): We will meet to go over the results of the assessment in detail. I will explain the findings, answer all of your questions, and provide personalized recommendations for next steps. You will leave this session with a clear diagnosis (if applicable) and a roadmap for treatment, school/work accommodations, and other support.
Step 4: Information Review & Report Preparation: I will score and interpret all the data, integrating it with the information from our interviews to form a complete diagnostic picture. I then compile this into a comprehensive, easy-to-understand report.
Why should I do this?

Tailored Treatment: Stop guessing and start using therapeutic strategies designed specifically for your diagnosis.
Educational & Workplace Accommodations: Your final report can be used to request formal accommodations like extended time on tests (IEP/504 plans) or workplace adjustments.
Empowerment: Gain a deeper understanding of your own mind and learn to work with your strengths.
A Foundation for Healing & Growth: Move forward with confidence, armed with knowledge and a clear plan.
